Notice:  The latest update from A&B Aquatics regarding the lake management treatments for EAST LAKE treatment is scheduled for:  Friday, August 14, 2026. East Lake, Lake Padgett, Lake Saxon, and Lake Joyce are currently all scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026

A&B Aquatics recommends that residents DO NOT irrigate their lawns with the treated lake water for 72 hours post-treatment of the lakes. Please note - the LPE Civic Association is not responsible or directly involved in the treatment of our lakes.  Contact the LPE ISD or A&B Aquatics for more information. This notice is brought to you by the LPE Civic Association Volunteers as a courtesy to our residents. Future treatment dates will be posted on this website by the LPECA as they are confirmed and provided to us.  We don't always get the schedule. But WHEN we do, we will post them.  Happy Boating All!

Sadly, at the June LPE ISD Monthly Board Meeting the announcement that  longtime LPE ISD employee, Steve Rowell will be leaving the LPE Community in August was made.  Besides the incredible shock to learn of Steve's departure,  the ISD will also be seeking to hire an additional LPE ISD Park Maintenance employee to join ISD Park Employee Tony Hendrix.

Please watch our website for more details for an upcoming Celebration of Steve Rowell and His Years of Service to Our Community Event, being worked on by the LPE Civic Association for early August.  This is a huge loss for our community, so please plan to join us as we celebrate Steve's tenure with the LPE ISD, say our Good Byes and share our Good Wishes with him.

The forum is scheduled for this Thursday, March 26, at 6 pm in the black box theater of the Academy at the Lakes School's new art building.

It will include our guest presenters, the Pasco County Public Works team, with an update on the 2026 approved and budgeted Stormwater & Drainage Projects (early steps toward eventually repaving/rehabbing our roadways). Plus tours of the new art building for those who want to check it out.

    PASCO COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS UPDATES:

Completed Road Projects include River Rock Road drainage repaired. East Lake Dr. at Shoreside Dr. is currently under construction for piping replacement. Thank you to the residents who provided Pasco County with the necessary access and easements to complete these badly needed replacements of some of our over 45-year-old drainage pipes.

Lake Padgett Drive and Lake Saxon Drive are budgeted and ready to go. The County will share with us where these pipe replacements will be located, how they will affect drainage, and what to expect regarding any easements needed, future access, and projects.

I've been told this Lake Padgett/Lake Saxon Drive project is an all-or-nothing proposition: the county is ready to complete it, but it will need all easements in place, or they may need to abandon the entire project.

    See you there!

The purpose of this project is to address future roadway capacity issues and improve safety conditions in the project area. The Preferred Alternative is a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) with US 41 elevated over SR 54 and SR 597 (Dale Mabry Highway).

Updated project materials including maps, graphics, and other information were available for review on this project website from Wednesday, January 28, 2026 through Wednesday, February 18, 2026.
